About Hunter's Aim

Welcome to Hunter's Aim!

This monthly online magazine was originally going to be a book. A book about my hunting stories, views, products I have used and my thoughts in regards to hunting as a sport, family event and just a way of bringing people together. The people that had sat around the campfire with me on our many hunting trips all have their own views as well, in regards to rights, wrongs, what's good and bad and although we don't always agree it seems to be “better” in a way as its a great excuse to pass many an hour away with our discussions around the camp fire. These people in fact are what made me change my mind from doing a book of my thoughts to a magazine where not only a few of us contribute in the monthly features but hopefully the readers out there will put their thoughts and views in as well.

The magazine will have several features that I hope the general public will appreciate and be a part of. When we do a test of a product or service here at Hunter's Aim, if we don't like a particular aspect of it we will say so. We are not here to bag anything but if people are paying good money to read a magazine they deserve a fair and unbiased report. The reports will consist of text, pictures and when possible video footage so you really will get to have a close look at a product. We also would like the public to send in their thoughts and their own reports on items they purchased themselves. We want the positives but the negatives as well, also any differing opinions in relation to tests we have done please send them in. The tests are about real life use, not a history lesson, we want info in regards to how a rifle shoulders and handles rather than the actions metallurgy and who designed it in what year.

"Shoot Outs" will be a feature of the magazine where we will get two similar items with several people reviewing them and rank them against each other. Neither product will be a real winner so to speak as an item will appeal to everyone differently but it will give an idea to people who are tossing up between two items on which would suit them the best.

Another aspect which Hunter's Aim requires is obviously photos and hunt reports from you the reader. The more we can get sent in - the better. Each month the person that sends in the best story, will go in the draw for a monthly prize and then the 12 monthly prize winners have the chance at a great end of year prize.

Each issue of the magazine will have areas related to parts from all over the world. As the test reviews on equipment apply to all of us no matter where we live, the hunting is unique to areas therefore the hunting stories will be allocated to sections of the magazine that relates to that country. It doesnt matter where you are in the world, you will be able to read about game and areas of interest that relate to you and also see what is happening in a place where you dream to hunt.

Each edition of the magazine will feature calibre guides, animal of the month, gunsmithing, a joke sections and a host of other information.
Of course we are always interested in hearing from our readers for changes that can be made. Check out our contributors to the magazine. There are links to both their current advertisements and their website. Please support them by clicking on the links as even if you don't buy our magazine, you will no doubt use there products and lets face it without their generous help, this magazine as well as the sport we call hunting would not be possible.

The first issue will be available mid December by clicking on the login page and there you will see the current issue available but also back issues as well. So please sit back enjoy a world wide hunting journey at the touch of a button and enjoy what we at Hunter's Aim hope will be a special journey through one of the great pastimes we all cherish so much.

Happy and Safe Hunting
